About the Program

The AB ELS program develops graduates who are fluent, accurate, and creative English communicators equipped for multicultural academic and professional environments. With strong grounding in linguistics, research, and interdisciplinary perspectives, students learn to use ICT tools effectively, engage in community-based language initiatives, and collaborate in diverse cultural settings. The program prepares learners for graduate studies and careers in education, communication, research, and other language-related fields.

Program Education Objectives

Act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility

Engage in community extension activities relevant to developing English language skills and assisting agencies in their English language needs.

Facilitate English language learning in diverse social, cultural, academic, and professional settings.

Demonstrate knowledge of current information, theories, and models, and techniques and practices in the fields of language and linguistics.

Evaluate ideas and information rationally to produce and implement solutions for language-related issues.

Produce English language research relevant to academic and workplace settings.

Communicate in English (both oral and written) fluently and creatively in diverse social, cultural, academic, and professional situations where language systems (phonological, morphological, syntactic, and semantic) vary.
