NU Manila Architecture Student Earns Recognition in Masjid Designing Competition

Congratulations to Aina Ashia Lee Ahmad, BS Architecture student of NU Manila, for earning 2nd Runner-Up in the Darul-Mubarak Foundation, Inc. Art and Soul Masjid Designing Competition.
Guided by extensive research and on-site mosque visits, Aina's design showcased a thoughtful approach to architectural planning, circulation, and the creation of spaces that respond to the needs of worshippers. Her work reflects not only technical skill and creativity but also a deep appreciation for the cultural, spiritual, and community significance of mosque architecture.
This achievement is a testament to the importance of design solutions that listen, respect, and respond to the cultural and religious contexts they serve. By thoughtfully integrating faith, tradition, and community needs into the design process, Aina demonstrated how architecture can create meaningful spaces that honor identity, foster inclusion, and strengthen a sense of belonging.
This recognition also reflects the passion and dedication that our Architecture students bring to their craft. NU Manila takes pride in celebrating students who continuously push the boundaries of innovation and design while creating purposeful solutions that positively impact communities through architecture.
