National University Strengthens Cultural Research Capacity Through NCCA Partnership

Through its continued commitment to advancing culture, research, and nation-building, National University Philippines further strengthens its partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) by participating in the National Cultural Statistics System: Cultural Statistics Tool Development Masterclass.
The national program was led by Dr. John Christopher B. Mesana, LPT, a research faculty member of the NU Manila College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM), highlighting the University's growing role in promoting evidence-based cultural research and development.
Among the 36 newly trained Cultural Statisticians, Level 1, six (6) representatives from the National University system successfully completed the program: Dr. Aldrin C. Agasen, Ms. Margie N. Roma (CTHM), Mr. Geo Albert B. Bravo (RDO), Ms. Jennella L. Laude (NU Nazareth School), Prof. May Ann G. Nollora (NU Fairview STHM), and Dr. Vannessa B. Nepomuceno (NU Fairview).
Their participation underscores National University's commitment to fostering research excellence and contributing to the development of a functional national cultural statistics system. As newly trained cultural statisticians, they are equipped to help strengthen the country's capacity to understand, measure, and preserve culture through data-driven insights that inform policy, research, and community development initiatives.
This achievement reflects the University's continued dedication to producing educators, researchers, and professionals who contribute meaningfully to cultural preservation and national development, while supporting efforts to deepen understanding of Filipino culture through evidence-based practice.
