Nationalians gathered for COMMvention 2026: Mahal Magmahal

Nationalians came together for COMMvention 2026: Mahal Magmahal, an annual event organized by the AB Communication students of NU Dasmariñas, centered on the theme “Mahal Magmahal: Pagdiriwang ng Puso at Sigla sa Paglikha.”
The celebration brought together creativity, conversation, and meaningful stories through a series of activities, including the Research Colloquium, Photo Exhibit, and Youth Summit, featuring Andrea Gail Rosales, Bryan Ellis Castillo, and Jonas Aubrey Velasquez as they shared their experiences, perspectives, and insights with the Nationalian community.
A major highlight of this year’s celebration was the Short Film Festival: Sine Simula, featuring original films produced and created by AB Communication students. Anchored on this year’s theme, the entries explored different stories and perspectives through Taya, 123 Kanya-Kanya Na!, Dalawang Salbabida, Dyesi Otso, Obscura, and Sa Pagitan ng mga Salita.
More than a celebration of communication, COMMvention 2026 showed how passion gives creativity its purpose. When we love what we do, we find the courage to create, the joy to express, and the drive to turn our ideas into stories that can move others.
Through their works and stories, our AB Communication students showed that “Mahal Magmahal” is not only about loving what we create, but also about finding meaning in the craft we choose and putting our hearts into every story we tell.
